Surfing is a sport that is full of attractive aspects. Through surfing, people feel the sense of accomplishment as they catch challenging waves, enjoy imagining the good and going to sea, have good time with good friends, feel the excitement of competing in contests, and appreciate the lifestyle associated with the surfing culture.
Moreover, we would like to convey our values and ideals, including the importance of following manners and rules, respect toward nature and people, and knowing the value of nature by getting interested in environmental issues through our surfing instructions and beach cleaning activities. Through these, we would like to contribute to the healthy growth and development of our children who will comprise the next generation in society.
We provide our service and products with utmost care and attention to all types of customers, including: those who want to start surfing or further improve their surfing skills, those who are local surfers here in Okinawa or are visiting Okinawa for surf-trip or sightseeing, those who want to get their exercise through stand up paddle boarding, which is rapidly gaining in popularity.
We provide surfing courses and training programs at all skill levels including trial, basic, step-up, and intermediate. We also provide necessary tools and environment so that everyone, including small children (elementary school students and above) and female surfers, can enjoy riding waves safely and at ease. Access to YES SURF
- From Naha Airport
- Head south toward Itoman City on Route 331 or Oroku Bypass. Turn right at Senaga intersection and go straight on Tomishiro Route. We are in front of the Itoman City Hall.
- From the Okinawa Expressway, Tomigusuku-Nakachi IC
- Exit Tomigusuku-Nakachi IC and turn left on Route 68. Go straight for 500meters. Turn right at Nakachi intersection on route 331 and go straight toward Itoman City. Pass through Itoman rotary and turn right at Futagobashi intersection. Go straight as you see San-A Shiozaki City supermarket on your left. Turn left at the intersection, and you’ll find YES SURF, located next to the JA Okinawa Shiozaki branch and the Itoman Office Supplies Store.

I immersed myself in baseball as a student and then in surfing after graduation. At work or at home, during break or as my hobby, everything I do now is devoted to surfing.
I enjoy my surfing life by using different types of surfboard for different wave sizes and conditions and different mood of the day, including performance short board, Simmons, Fish, Single fin, Mid Length, Long Board and Standup Paddle Board. As a devoted surfer and surfing instructor who has spent most of his life riding waves, I will do my best to introduce you to this wonderful sport and to respond to your needs. I had been only interested in arts and culture for a long time, and the only sport I was capable of was swimming then. Surfing was the first sport which I really fell in love with. Because I lacked experience in sports and tended to be a slow learner, I often had to think extensively about surfing techniques.
Thanks to this, I was able to theoretically master the methods for surfing clinics. I’ve studied basic skills and theory of bodyboarding under the late Yuko Irinamihira and then applied these to surfing and stand up paddle boarding. I have been expanding my quiver since then to enjoy riding waves.
Nowadays, I tend to use SUP, Long Board, Mid Length, and FISH.
